School Daze.

Finally, it's almost that time of the year. The END of the year. I have approximately 11.5 days of school left, not including final exams. Honestly, it's kind of bittersweet. My sophomore year was no where near as terrible as my previous years at Young, but I'm still trying to recover from a third quarter slip up. I'm trying really hard to stay focused, and turn in as much work as I can to get the highest grades I can get.

But boy oh boy, I can't wait for it to be over.

The only assignment I'm looking forward to completing is this blog I need to do for my history class. We're learning about WWII + the Holocaust and my last project is to create a blog proving that the Holocaust actually happened. I'm actually really excited because I love blogging.

I haven't really posted anything yet, but here's the link:

In order to do well on this project, I do need to have people comment on some of my posts so if anyone is willing me help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated. :)

BULL$.

Sorry, I'm late. I just haven't been able to get on here and do my thang :) haha. Anyway, let's talk basketball.
You see that? That's what happens in the City of Win(d). Alright, so yesterday was Game 1 in the playoff series between the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls had a slow start, with too many goofy turn overs in the first half. However, we didn't let the Heat get too far ahead leaving the game tied at 46 by the half. (I think, I'm going off the top of my head right now) Second half was the Bulls half. I mean, we got off. We ended the game at 82-103. HEY HEAT, WELCOME TO THE DUBCLUB. LOVE, CHICAGO. Haha.
Let's talk about this highlight of the game. Last night, Gibson had the juice! He was getting off almost EVERYTIME he had the ball. He even dunked right on D. Wade - the picture above. That was the talk of the whole day today. Also, to get us to 103, Gibson rebounded the ball and one had DUNKED on errr body. Me and my family went CRAZY. I should find a video of it and post it later. But it was a good game.

I'm really excited for the Bulls this year. This is the first time we've gotten to the Eastern Conference Finals since the Jordan era. This is a plus for me because this is my first year actually watching basketball. :) Now I won't get into that aspect right now, but BOY OH BOY. I'm excited for Game 2.

This is going to be a well played series.

HEATWAVE.

It's so ridiculously hot in Chicago right now. Well, it's not even hot. It's just super muggy and humid.
It's 9:04pm and I've done half of one homework assignment. I typically have an issue when it comes to focusing on homework (this is usually when I start blogging) but when it's this humid, OMG. It's impossible for me to complete anything. I have to read the final volume of Pride and Prejudice, two trig worksheets, and study for a quiz. I can't get through any of this right now.

Hopefully I find it somewhere in me to do what I gotta do.

That's Mackin!

That's Mackin - Shortie Mac Ft. Dorrough
Now, I know you're probably wondering why I posted an 11 year old's music video. Welp, in the city of win(d) we have talent everywhere - especially in our youth. You may think I'm talking about Shortie, but I'm actually talking about the dancers. Shortie Mac shot his music video for his single "That's Mackin" at my school back in March. I'm a dancer on the dance team there (Guys N Dolls) and we got the opportunity to be dancers and extras in his video.

I had so much fun doing this video, like actually. It was a really long process though and there was a lot of waiting - I had to leave the car scene because I had a previously scheduled audition that evening - but I did get the chance to dance my little booty off in the front.

So, watch this video.

So Hot In Hurr'.

TYPICAL CHICAGO WEATHER - inconsistant as can be.
Today, it was a whole 83 degrees outside. I think that's the hottest it's been all year because Chicago just never wants to experience the weather of the seasons properly. I honestly loved the weather, until I got active and it was really hot. But I just want the weather to stay this way. It'll be in the 80's tomorrow too, but it'll go right back down to the upper 60's on Thursday.

Everyone is taking advantage of these two hot days though. The 80's = Choosin' Weather, and I promise you TOO MANY females were trying to get chose today in the halls of Whitney Young. Okay maybe not that many, but still. Not mean doe, I'm not trying to get chose today. Maybe tomorrow? :) Anywho, I'm loving my city and the hints of summer we're getting. Four more weeks of school left. I'm counting down.

He Got That Super Bass. ;)

Super Bass - Nicki Minaj.
This song has been stuck in my head ever since I saw the video last week. I think Nicki looks beautiful in the this video and naturally thick unlike her usual enormous figure. Pink Friday is one of my favorite albums to listen to 'til this day. I also love the Doc Martens her and her dancers were wearing. I've been wanting some since winter break. However, I feel like they might become super popular now. We'll just have to wait around and see.

Page One. Chapter One. Verse Motherf*cking One.

This is my very first blog post on here, and I'm kind of excited. Alright, well let me start with what this blog is about. I'm really trying to focus on one thing I'm particularly interested in, but I'm not really super knowledgeable about something to dedicate a whole blog about it. What I'm deciding to do (for now anyway) is to just blog about my life as a teenage girl living in Chicago - The City Of Win(d).

I also have a Tumblr, but I feel like this will be alittle more successful. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

When it gets really good, I'll start telling people about it. Haha.
